Kaoba Building Bridge

Location: Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia
Design Year: 2015
Construction Year: 2015
Area: 50 m2

The project is born out of the necessity for connecting two apartment towers, without affecting the privacy of its inhabitants.
The proposal consists in three platforms and one enclosure, structured through a series of vertical elements orderly laid out to take advantage of a double-height space, with a metallic mesh enclosure, which evokes a boat’s bow.  The construction process used laser technology for cutting each tube, later assembled and mounted manually.
Between the tubes that make the façade, an expanded mesh with vine-like vegetation is adhered to generate a micro-climate inside the bridge and to keep each apartment private.
