Cali, Valle del Cauca

This project consists in a single-family house on the first and second floors, additionally six studio apartments on the upper levels.

Location: Cali , Valle del Cauca | Colombia
Design Year: 2016
Construction Year: 2017
Area: 600 m2

It consists on a single-family house having most social areas on the first floor such as living room, dining room, terrace and two bedrooms around a patio, a pool and a garden.

On the second floor, there is a studio, a bedroom with a balcony overlooking the street and the main bedroom with internal pool view.

Through an independent side-entrance, there’s access to seven studio flats, laid down around an independent patio and a fixed point. The project has a façade with laser-cut metallic sheets making sliding panels with natural patterns, which resolve the issue of security on the balconies and the incidence of sunlight, especially in the morning.

Conversely, the rest of the facades are built in brick fretwork, which scatters lights, improves security and prevents the need for additional fencing and generates privacy by filling the space with fragmented views.

Other materials were used, like enameled concrete, pine wood, and flooring and walls in local Stone.
